How To Lose Your Dad Bod

How To Lose Your Dad Bod

Here are 6 tips on how to lose your "dad bod."

1. Cut back on carbs and no sugared drinks

Most "Dad Bods" are built up with foods like pizza, pasta, and bread. These have two things in common: they increase your belly fat and are empty crabs.

Instead of putting a lot of carbs on your plate, start putting on more protein. One trap is also liquid carbs: like milk or sugared drinks. Avoiding these is an easy way to cut back on carbs.

Don't drink too much alcohol. Did you know that one beer contains can contain up to 100 calories?

Of course, you don't need to stop drinking. Take one beer when the urge falls in (and not too often).

2. Add protein to your breakfast

If you want to kick start your metabolism, start eating a healthy breakfast, it will also help you keep your energy levels up during the day.

Stay away from stuff like bread, cereal, or other empty carbs. Eggs are a great protein source. You can: boil them, make an omelet, or do old-fashioned scrambled eggs.

3. Stay hydrated during the day

Did you know that it's essential to stay hydrated if you want to get rid of your dad bod?

If you're dehydrated, your metabolism can slow down, leading to weight gain instead.

The Health University of Utah has found that 8-ounce cups of water each day can give you a higher metabolic rate than if you drink 4-ounce cups of water.

Perhaps not so much daily, but it can make a massive difference over the years.

4. Don't stay up too late

Getting a good night's sleep is essential to get rid of stubborn belly fat. It will also reduce your hunger, which is suitable for a diet.

Aim for 7-9 hours/night. We're all different. Some need 9 hours while others need less.

Avoid your mobile phone, tv, or computer. Try to read a book instead and relax before sleeping.

The blue light that comes from all screens can make your melatonin go down. Melatonin is a hormone that controls your sleep.

The risk of obesity or even heart disease increases with low melatonin levels.

5. Don't stress

Stress can raise your cortisol and your body's tendency to keep fat. This is a nightmare for dads who wants to lose their dad bod.

So find a way to relax. Here are some tips:

Read a book
Exercise
Yoga
Meditation
Take a walk
